No bug left behind is a blog about software quality, testing and programming and is written by Tobias and Dennis Gurock. We started this blog because we are very interested in software quality and wanted to have a central place to share articles, links, technical tips and other snippets. We are working at a company called Gurock Software, a software startup we founded in 2004 that is specialized in software development tools. Our first product SmartInspect is a logging tool for .NET, Java and Delphi that is helping hundreds of organizations improve the quality of their software.
We’ve designed and developed various systems and applications for different platforms over the years and especially enjoy writing network services, desktop tools and web applications. We are comfortable with both Unix and Windows environments and usually write software in C, C#, Java, Delphi and various scripting languages. We are also publishing another (mostly product and business related) blog over at the Gurock Software website and created and maintain DelphiFeeds.com, a popular news site for the Delphi programming community.
What about the stupid name?
If you’ve been looking for a name for a product, blog or website recently you might know that finding a good name with an available .com address is harder than it sounds (all good names are already taken!). When we were brainstorming for name ideas for this blog, Dennis mentioned that we needed something stupid such as No bug left behind. A quick Whois check revealed that the .com domain for this name was still available, so we quickly registered it and decided to just go with this name.
